Ellesmere Port In Bloom Tool Shed
Ellesmere Port in Bloom and Stamford Street Allotment Society are proud to be working in partnership to launch a new Tool Library for the town. The scheme has been created to help community groups, residents, and local organisations improve green spaces, gardens, and neighbourhood areas across Ellesmere Port and the surrounding communities.
The Tool Library offers a wide range of gardening and maintenance equipment that can be hired by any recognised community group or by individuals working to develop shared spaces. Equipment is available under two flexible options: a short-term loan, normally collected on a Saturday and returned the following Saturday, or a long-term hire of up to six months for larger projects.
To keep the scheme running for everyone, all equipment must be returned in good, clean condition. Any items that are lost or damaged will need to be replaced by the hirer. Groups wishing to borrow equipment will be asked to provide evidence of public liability insurance for their place of work or project site.
This joint initiative reflects the long-standing commitment of both Ellesmere Port in Bloom and Stamford Street Allotment Society to encourage community pride, environmental improvement, and accessible gardening for all. By sharing tools and skills, the Tool Library aims to support more people to take part in making Ellesmere Port a greener, brighter place to live.
By filling the form in below, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

-
Condition of Equipment
All items must be returned clean, complete, and in the same condition as when borrowed, allowing for normal wear and tear. Mud is for gardens, not for the inside of our storage shed. -
Loss or Damage
The hirer accepts full responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to equipment while it is in their care. Replacement or repair costs will be charged to the hirer at current market value. -
Safe Use
Hirers confirm that they and anyone using the equipment are competent to do so safely. The Tool Library accepts no liability for injury, accident. -
Prohibited Use
Equipment must only be used for its intended purpose and must not be sold, lent to third parties, modified, or used in activities that may cause harm to others or damage the equipment. -
Collection and Return
Items must be collected and returned at the agreed time and location. Late returns may result in refusal of future hires or a stern look from the volunteer on duty. -
Cancellation
The Tool Library may cancel a booking at any time due to availability, safety concerns - we are volunteers and may have personal commitments that may prevent us from loaning the equipment out. We will make every possible attempt to stick to the timings - but unexpected things happen. -
Data Protection
Personal information provided on the form will be used solely for managing hires and will be stored in line with UK data protection law. -
Agreement
By signing the hire form, the hirer agrees to these terms and accepts responsibility for the equipment from the moment it leaves our hands until it returns safely home.
